First of all, a short thumb nail biography of the composer: Carl Philip Emanuel Bach (1714-1788) was the fifth child and second oldest surviving son of Johann Sebastian Bach. He was one of the composers that ushered in the classical age of Mozart and Haydn. Mozart said of him, "he is the father and we are the children."
