Why You Need Good Rap Beats

Jim Morrison's voice was a firm stone of reality, like the rock of Gibraltar, in an era of overzealous peace and love. He was raw sexuality and unashamed of his unabashed masculinity. For over forty years The Doors have been dissected and written about. They have left a deep and beautiful wound on the history of music. It is hard to find the same telepathic nuance in a collective consciousness that they held as a group.

The Survival Of The Record Store

If you think you know Hendrix, you may be shocked to learn that there's an impressive amount of Hendrix material yet to appear on the market. That's because the singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who virtually single-handedly developed psychedelic rock in the 1960s was obsessed with jamming in the studio.

Arts and Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

It's that time of the year again, where news publications, bloggers and music magazines across the globe gather and speculate over the unenviable task of separating the sounds of the past year which have graced our ears for weeks, maybe months on end, from the throwaway 'seen it all before' records which didn't last the distance. Essentially a source of acute opinion, occasionally an album of rare quality will crop up which features on the vast majority of the yearly definitive lists, now seen as much a predictable fixture in the collective public consciousness during the Christmas period as...

Clapton Is God Why?

In this sort of theoretical plays, one will find a combination of songs, dance, music, and dance along with spoken dialogs. Be it any emotion, the players have to deliver it in such a way that it fits the genre perfectly. This is one of the most loved types of play that holds popularity all over the world.

Les Chansons Des Perverts 16 Super Hits

Rockabilly was a uniquely American invention. The music grew out of the rich diversity of American musical forms of the first half of the 20th century. Blues, country, gospel, rhythm and blues, and even elements of jazz could be said to have come together and manifested themselves in a wild new type of music that came to be called rockabilly. The development of rock and roll and rockabilly can be considered among America's proudest accomplishments. But if it hadn't have been for the British, rockabilly might not be the vibrant and living musical art form that it is today, almost 60 years after it first hit the pop, country, and R&B charts.

Melissa McCarthy Hollywoods New It Girl!

The hysterically funny Melissa McCarthy is Hollydood’s new It Girl! It may be a bold statement but I am here to tell you it is true. Melissa is on fire! I have been a fan of McCarthy’s since she played the hilarious Sookie St. James on Gilmore Girls. Seriously I watch reruns of the show every Saturday on SoapNet because it is so good and that is largely do to the talent of Melissa. She never really seemed get to the kudos she deserved for that role, so I am so unbelievably happy she is finally getting recognized for the talented woman she is. Last night the Mike and Molly star took home the Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, for her role on the CBS hit show. I have never been so excited to see someone win in my life but it seems no one was more excited than McCarthy herself. As she was giving her acceptance speech you could so tell that she was genuinely not only surprised by her naming being called but grateful for the win. That my friends is one of the other reasons I think she rocks! Ya’ll may not agree with [...]

What Are Some Of The Greatest Spanish Guitar Artists Of All Time And Why?

Whenever someone says "rock music" our minds instantly glide past through thoughts of heavy guitar riffs, men shouting in high pitch tone, spiky hairstyles, glitzy costumes and ruffles hanging from their sleeves. When no one thought that rock could mellow, a sub-genre called "roots rock music" emerged in the '80s.

Why You Should Be Careful About Using Guitar Tutorials Online

Although it is very tempting to pop online and do a quick search for guitar tutorials, you need to be very wary of what you'll find. You may be looking for guitar instructional videos, tab charts, chord charts or other instructional material, and the great thing about the web is that it offers an almost limitless supply of instructional material. Unfortunately there's a problem.

Jennifer Aniston Justin Theroux Hold Hands . . . IN PUBLIC

They may have gotten cozy in photos and they may have appeared in public together but it wasn’t until yesterday that new couple Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux showed any public displays of affection for one another. Jen and Justin made their way thru London’s Heathrow Airport hand-in-hand … which is a SURE sign that [...]

Yesterday was a kind of a bummer day for me … after 3 years together … I had to say goodbye to my beloved VW. Wülfgang Jürgen-Klaüs was the VW Tiguan that I leased 3 years ago and after careful consideration, I decided to give the car back to the dealership. Despite the decision not to buy the car, I did love it and miss it muchly. It was a long, somewhat sad drive to the VW dealership yesterday … I did my best to relish the last moments with Wülfie before I had to say goodbye.

I’m not sure what car I’m going to get next but I’m thinking about going with an American car from a Detroit car company. David and I really love his Cadillac so I might get one myself. But, I can’t really test drive any cars right now. This afternoon, David and I fly up to San Francisco, CA to spend the weekend with his brother Aram and then in early August we’re off to Rhode Island to visit David’s parents before we spend some time in NYC visiting his sister Eden. After our travels are finished, I’m going to start car shopping.

It’s weird … I’ve never not had a car since getting my license at 16. It’s weird being carless. Both Detroit, MI and LA, CA are big driving cities … I kinda feel naked. I’ll miss my VW but it won’t be long until I find my next baby ;)

Kim Kardashians Wedding Date Set For…. Sports WAG of the Week

Kim Kardashian’s wedding date has been revealed! I know you all have been waiting on bated breath to hear when their nuptials will take place. The big day is reportedly just around the corner — August 20th to be exact. Mark your calendars, peeps, this will be one helluva star studded, no expense spared event! In honor of this big news, we’ve named Kim our Sports WAG of the Week. While Kim Kardashian’s wedding date was hush-hush following the announcement in May that Kim was engaged to her boyfriend, New Jersey Nets baller Kris Humphries, it seemed as if the nuptials were going to take place quite quickly. She went into full wedding planning mode right away and could be seen visiting Vera Wang’s store in New York and L.A. with camera crews in tow. She apparently has said yes to a dress by the designer and it’s no surprise, really, since she also outfitted sister Khloe on her big day. I can’t wait to see her dress! No doubt it will be absolutely gorgeous, as will she. The New York Post reported that the couple will have their own bachelor and bachelorette parties at Tao (no surprise there, home [...]

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty sweet day, I have to say. Darion’s mom Janai was visiting just for the afternoon so I got meet up with the both of them in Santa Monica, CA for some of her stay. We had a great hang session over crepes, then we did a little walking, then we did a little shopping … and of course, we did a little photo taking ;) Check out our fun below.

I honestly love Janai very much. She is family to me, so it was a pleasure getting to spend what little time I could with her yesterday. She is such a beautiful spirit … like, a living embodiment of love. I also really appreciate that Darion doesn’t mind sharing her with me ;) OH and I have to explain the third photo … it’s not really me, you see, it’s actually the new James Bond villain Dr. Wynter FOXXX … and yes, before anyone asks, it’s totally faux.

Tonight, David and I are seeing the AMAZING Ryan Adams live in concert at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. He only announced tonight’s show last week and it sold out in minutes. David and I are VERY excited because Ryan means very much to us … he sings our song, after all :) It should be a great night. Happy Columbus Day!! Happy Monday!!

Adam Lambert has decided to tone it down.

….Not for good, don't worry.

Fellow singer Lance Bass thinks it is a good idea as well.

Before Lambert performs in Malaysia, the government has set rules that he needed to calm down his flamboyant act. Bass said that he thinks it is only fair to follow the rules of another country.

Lambert has agreed to restrictions against stripping, jumping, and kissing on stage and said that he is doing it out of respect.

Bass, being openly gay himself, is a supporter of Lambert. He gave his performance last year at the American Music Awards, when he kissed another man, two thumbs up.

Bass said that in America you can do anything, and kiss whoever you want, but when going into another country you have to be aware of their beliefs even if you don't believe in them yourself!

Thanks for your thoughts Lance!

Well, isn't this an interesting turn of events!

New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino, who has come under fire this past week due to his homophobic remarks to the press, has just been uncovered as the building owner of two gay clubs in Buffalo. State liquor license records show that Carl even collected rent from the clubs once and that his son, William, actually ran one of the joints in 2004 and most of 2005.

Another piece of the puzzle.

Either Carl leaked this information himself to show some allegiance or he's a pretty hefty hypocrite.

Or both. We remain skeptical.

Thoughts?

Every time I have been to a wedding recently, there has been a fantastic amount of Scottish Country dancing. After a while though I got the hang of it, thanks to the cilidh bands instructions and had a whale of a time. To find out more here is my interview with one of the band members...
